Lithium is an air-reactive alkali metal that tarnishes fast to a dull silvery-grey and finally black. It is a silvery-white to grey alkali metal with a metal-lic luster when new. Features Of Lithium Ore

While a typical spodumene concentrate appropriate for the manufacturing of lithium carbonate typically includes 6-7% Li2O (75%–87% spodumene), a typical run-of-mine ore can contain as little as 1-2% Li2O.
